Rotary valves and diverter valves

That function without problems

Rotary valves and diverter valves often function as junctions in a transportation system. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that they operate without problems. Preventative maintenance will go a long way in extending the life of your rotary and bypass valves. In addition, you will reduce the risk of your production downtime due to faults or sudden failures of your rotary and diverter valves. And this, in turn, is important for the continuity of your production process. Recently we have decided to offer our customers a 5 year warranty on rotary valves and DMN-WESTINGHOUSE diverter valves in combination with a service and maintenance contract for the same period.

High quality for a long life span

DMN-WESTINGHOUSE rotary valves and diverter valves are of high quality and are designed for a long life span. However, every machine that is used (fairly) regularly, will show some wear and tear after a while. That means that periodic maintenance is no luxury, it is necessary. The costs of a standstill in your production, the downtime, are still very often underestimated. Preventative checks and – if necessary – replacement of parts that show wear and tear and/or readjustment of the rotor and/or rotor blades can more often than not prevent a standstill in production. We offer you the possibility to let us perform preventative maintenance on all of your components, either in the form of a service agreement (SLA) or not. After consulting with you, our servicemen will check your rotary valves and diverter valves periodically and will keep them in perfect shape, making sure that defects will be kept to a minimum. With a periodical check, any possible faults will be brought to the surface in time. This means that replacing the entire rotary valve or diverter valve probably won’t be necessary. More often than not, replacing some parts will be enough. This won’t have to be a problem, since the production will be temporarily out of order due to the maintenance. If necessary, we will repair your rotary valve or diverter valve as soon as possible, to make sure that they will still, even after many years, meet the necessary specifications and tolerances. If necessary, we will provide a rotary valve to borrow, to make sure the production is back on track in time. If older rotary valves or diverter valves are located in a potentially explosive environment, we can almost always adjust them to meet the ATEX 2014/34/EU norms. Or, with strict hygienic requirements, we can upgrade the rotary valves by equipping them with RID (Rotor Interference Detection).

DMN Westinghouse provides preventative maintenance support

Of course a customer could take care of their own maintenance, but in reality, there is not a lot of time devoted to preventative maintenance in the production planning. DMN would love to take care of that for you. Furthermore, the service center at DMN are specialized in the components, for example regarding the precise adjustment of rotor blades and setting tolerances, et cetera. They can also advise the client on keeping certain reserve parts in stock. Next to maintenance, it is also important that the rotary valves and diverter valves are handled in the right way during production and in between production runs. We offer training on these subjects either on site with the customer, or in our new test and demonstration room at DMN in Noordwijkerhout.

What does this mean for you as a customer?

  • Annual inspection and maintenance
  • 24/7 service, 365 days a year
