The PTD uses stainless steel product-contact surfaces and FDA-approved, EC 1935/2004-compliant belly seals. ATEX 2014/34/EU certification is available where required.
Plug Diverter valve
The PTD is a two-channel plug diverter valve for pneumatic conveying of powders and pellets. Its precision-machined, obstruction-free internal geometry supports gentle product handling, while the pressure-tight body prevents leakage to the atmosphere. Static or inflatable belly seals are available to suit different operating pressure requirements.
The design makes routine servicing easier. Glue-free seals, access from both sides, plug position indicators on both sides, and an exterior without moving parts all support practical inspection and maintenance. The PTD is available in seven sizes, from 50 to 200, with electric-drive and wear-resistant-pipe options.
To add insight into seal condition, the PTD can be fitted with the Automatic Wear Detection System (AWDS). AWDS monitors pressure inside the valve body and signals when the seals need attention, without opening the valve. Instead of replacing seals at fixed intervals or waiting for a failure to stop production, maintenance can be planned around actual seal condition. Active AWDS detects wear before leakage starts and is available for sizes 50 to 150. Passive AWDS signals leakage while the plug can still switch and is available for all sizes. Both versions are available for new PTDs and as retrofit kits for existing installations.
